So I have been trying to find time to make some Paleo bread for about 2 weeks. Last night I had barely enough time to do it, but I figured what the hell. My son passed out on the way back from the gym and gave me just enough time to rush the ingredients together and pop it in the oven. This is the first time I ever tried making bread in general and the result was pretty good I think. It is not the hardest thing to make and it would be very hard to screw it up, but still I had to give myself a pat on the back. While the bread was cooking I put together the ingredients for my blueberry Paleo French toast mix. This was a liquid filling to be poured over the bread to add some flavoring to make it taste like French toast. The result was this....
I didn't get a chance to try it last night and honestly I was trying to save it for the morning as an easy thing to scoop into a tupperware and take to work for breakfast. I forgot the syrup, but I was delightfully surprised as to how much flavor this had (aside from the blueberries - which there were way too many of). It was really good. I will toot my own horn a little here. Although it really is not that hard to follow some recipes and add a few twists to cook stuff to your liking. I will have some more goodies to post about over the weekend when I should have a few hours to throw some stuff together.
